Chapter 3- Sunny Village

When she reached the top she felt like she was finally free, like the eagle that she use to chase back with the heard. When she reached the downward slop of the rainbow she slid down the rest of the rainbow landing with a loud thud. She slowly got to her feet and shook the dizziness out of her. She had no idea what had happened to her or where she was, all she knew was that she was free and somewhere magical.
Wrangler explored her new surroundings, there wasn’t much difference between this new place and her home. As she walked along she seen forest creatures scurrying around. Wrangler walked around soaking in all of the sites and sounds. She came to a small village after a few hours, she entered the village and was welcomed by a white pony with rainbow hair.
“Hello. I haven’t seen you before. Are you a traveler?”
“Um yeah you could say that. Where am I?” The pony giggled “Your defiantly not from around here. This is Sunnyville and I’m Sunny Daze. May I ask what your name is?” Wrangler thought for a minute her mother never really gave her a name a thought struck her and she answered “Wrangler.” He stomach growled after she answered.
“I think your stomach said hello too. You must be hungry. Follow me I’ll take you to the best place in town.” They arrived at a restaurant in the shape of a sun. Once seated Sunny Daze handed Wrangler a menu.
“Um I don’t have any cash or a check, so I guess I will pass.” “You’re a traveler with no money?” Sunny Daze asked with a raised eyebrow.
Wrangler thought quickly “Oh I thought I had brought enough with me but I didn’t.” “Well cant let a fellow pony go hungry. Order what ever will fill you up.” Wrangler looked over the menu and decided on a salad. After ordering Sunny Daze started asking Wrangler questions.
“ Where are you from?”
“ A long ways away.”
“Where are you going?”
“Not sure”
“What does your family think about you traveling?”
Wrangler frowned she missed her mother.
“I’m sorry I shouldn’t be so noisy.”
“It’s okay, I just miss them.”

Their food arrived shortly after their conversation. Wrangler hadn’t realized how hungry she was until she seen Sunny Daze’s face. Blushing she apologized.
“Don’t worry about it.” giggled Sunny Daze “Would you like me to show you around?”
“Oh that would be great!” Wrangler’s blushed “That is if your not busy.”
“Nope have an empty afternoon.”

After paying for the food Sunny Daze took Wrangler to City Hall. There was a statue of a pony with wings standing in front of City Hall.
“Who’s that?” Wrangler asked
“That is King Silverwind.” Wrangler looked at her with a blank face.
“You don’t know who that is? Well short verison he rules ALL of Ponyland.”
“So he rules this city?”
“Yes, we have many different types of places here the kingdoms have kings and queen, the cities surrounding the kingdoms have Ladies and Lords, the smaller towns have mayors. I am the King Silverwind and Queen Rainsong rule over everything. Let’s see the rest of the village.”

They spent the rest of the day exploring the town. Sunny Daze explained what the different statues meant as they came to them. When they arrived back at the café Wrangler yawned.
“Do you have somewhere to stay?”
“No but I can find somewhere to sleep.”
“None sense what kind of mayor would I be if I let you sleep outside? You can stay with me and continue in the morning.” Wrangler didn’t know what to say she didn’t want to seem needy but she had no idea what was out in the forest at night.
“Okay only if I don’t seem like a free loader.”

Sunny Daze laughed “You don’t. Come with me.” Wrangler followed her to her house. Once they arrive Sunny Daze made the couch up for her. Wrangler snuggled down under the blanket and in no time was fast asleep.
